Row-by-row guide
Rows are counted from the top. "gap" is the number of empty blocks before the next run.

How to build it
Build a perfect Minecraft circle in three steps
- 01
Pick the size and style
Enter the diameter in blocks. Odd diameters have a single centre block, even diameters a 2×2 centre. Choose thick for walls, thin for outlines, or filled for floors.
- 02
Mark the centre and the axes
Place a marker block at the centre, then count out half the diameter in all four directions. The dashed lines on the chart are these axes.
- 03
Build one quarter, mirror the rest
Every circle is symmetric. Follow the row guide for one quarter, then repeat the same steps mirrored for the other three quarters.
FAQ
Minecraft circle questions
What is the difference between thick and thin circles?
A thin circle uses the fewest blocks, and its blocks touch only at the corners on the diagonals. A thick circle adds a block wherever that would leave a diagonal gap, so the wall is solid from every side.
Should I use an odd or even diameter?
Odd diameters have one centre block, which makes it easy to place a pillar or a beacon in the middle. Even diameters have a 2×2 centre, which suits double doors and 2-wide paths.
How do I make a sphere or a dome?
A sphere is a stack of circles with changing diameters. Use the free Minecraft Shape Maker, which prints the circle for every layer of a sphere or dome.
How many blocks does a circle need?
The block count and the number of stacks of 64 are shown next to the chart and update as you change the size or style.
Does this work for Bedrock and Java?
Yes. The chart is just a block layout, so it works the same in every edition, in survival and in creative.
Is the circle generator free?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser and needs no account.
